Nathan Carl Cooke, 24, of New Braunfels left this earth suddenly on Monday August 11, 2014. Visitation was held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August
16, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Home of San Saba with interment following at China Creek Cemetery.  Nathan was born in Virginia Beach, VA on January 10, 1990 to LCDR Barry T. Cooke and Letitia Cooke. Due to the family’s numerous military moves, Nathan lived in several cities and states across the country before settling in New Braunfels. He attended New Braunfels Middle School and  graduated from Canyon High School in 2008. He was currently attending San Antonio College in San Antonio to achieve a degree in Computer Science. He had a mathematical and technological mind. He enjoyed rock music, video games, and playing his  electronic drums. He designed and built his last two computers and helped his family and friends solve computer issues. Nathan is survived by his mother, Letitia Cooke and Larry Nagode; one sister, Ashley Cooke and Gilbert Hernandez of San  Antonio; one brother, Justin Cooke and wife, Stephanie of New Braunfels; grandmother, Shirley Cooke of Austin; two uncles, Gary Faught and wife, Carolyn of San Antonio, Bruce Cooke and wife,  ori of Austin; one aunt, Kimberley Griese and husband, B.J. of The Woodlands; cousins Kristin Benitz and husband Joe of Round Rock, Sherri Schoenert of La Vernia, Stephen Schoenert of San Antonio, Brandon Cooke and wife, Natalie of Dallas, and Travis Cooke, Grayson Cooke, and Kathleen Cooke of Austin. He is preceded in death by his father, LCDR Barry T. Cooke, grandfather Thomas P. Cooke, and grandparents, Clyde and Jewell  Faught. Pallbearers were Justin Cooke, Gary Faught, Larry Nagode, Stephen Schoenert, Gilbert Hernandez and Bryan Ledesma. Family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a nonprofit counseling resource center of their choice.
