Michael Odean Brown, 61, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. He was born on August 4, 1952, at the Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas. He graduated from Lanier High School in Austin, Texas then proceeded to Jacksonville College in Jacksonville, Texas and later obtained a doctorate of theology. He faithfully served in the ministry for 40 years, preaching at several churches in Texas, New Mexico and Mississippi as well as foreign missionary work throughout Europe. On February 14, 1989 Michael Odean Brown married Janie Cole. He is survived by his wife, Janie, his mother, Nila Mae Brown, his brother, Gary Mack Brown. He is also survived by four children, Shane, Charity, Cherie, and Chris as well as 6 grandchildren, Lathan, Cerys, Bailey, Seth, Addison, and Rhema. He is also survived by one nephew, Mack and one niece, Bridget. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Richland Springs Baptist Church, Rev. Ed Dowell officiating; music courtesy of Randy Ethridge. Interment followed at the Richland Springs Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba, Texas.
