Raymond Alcorn of San Saba, Texas passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at the age of 82. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation was held prior to the service. Raymond was born June 19, 1931 in Strawn, Texas to Wilbert Crayton and Daisy (Graves) Alcorn. He lived most of his life in San Saba. He will be remembered for his passion for fishing, hunting, telling tall tales of his youth, watching old western shows, and his true love of his children and grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Steed and husband Ronnie of Mesquite, Texas; one son, Ronald Alcorn and wife Kelly of Kaufman, Texas; grandchildren, Raymond Fontenot and wife Sherri, Keith Capps and wife Melissa, Ronald Alcorn, Jr. and wife Tammy, Kristi Capps, Brandy Alcorn and husband Brandon, Aaron Alcorn and wife Ruth, Kerry Alcorn and wife Rebekah, Meagan Alcorn, and Macie Alcorn; great-grandchildren, Kenny, David, and Niko Hickman, Austin and Summer Alcorn, Bryan and Chloe Capps, Sara and Carlie Massingale, Natalie, Aaron Jr. and Paisley Alcorn, and Sarah Alcorn; also several nieces and nephews. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mina Alcorn; one sister, Beulah Mae Crim; and five brothers, Austin, Bob, Frank, Paul, and Wilbert.
