The San Saba County Historical Commission (CHC) is planning a dedication ceremony for an official Texas Historical Marker on Saturday, November 9, 2013 beginning at 11:00 a.m. This marker commemorates the San Saba Cemetery, part of which originated in 1884 as the International Order of the Odd Fellows (IOOF) Cemetery, located on the west side of Highway 16 just north of the City of San Saba. It has had an interesting history and has become the largest cemetery serving San Saba County. The public is cordially invited to attend the brief celebration which will take place near the cemetery’s entrance.
