My wonderful journey is over. We had a great sisters' cruise. Each of our shore excursions were entertaining. Bev, Dee and I hiked around San Juan visiting Ponce de Leon's grave site and statue. Although history reports the good and bad side of his conquest, he apparently is worthy of his own statue. My favorite spot was the Dominican Republic. We went snorkeling in beautiful clear blue waters. Our guide fed the water and hundreds of little blue, striped, yellow fin tuna, and many others came up to say hi. We had a very caring guide who took the time to come over to me and calm me down. I hate to admit it, but I am not good in the water, especially when I can't touch the bottom. He made sure I could handle my breathing, stayed close by until he saw I was calm, and inflated my vest a little so I had confidence in staying on the top. I wish I was better in the water, but I'm not. We then boated over to a small island, and he called up a manta ray. Called up meant holding our fish, and she was used to that 'call' because she and her baby came right over. For the next half hour she patiently allowed us to stroke her, pick her up out of the water for a 'kiss,' and our guide would flop her over our heads for a photo op. I was amazed at how soft and smooth she felt on her under belly. We were also treated with the local fruit punch. It seemed to me that each island or country had its own secret punch.

The kids are out of school, so there is not much to report there. I understand from posts on Facebook that Chrissy's Plants will be officially open this week. I passed the garden house on my way home last night and saw that they were moving the side addition. Bobby and Chrissy are working hard to make a local nursery for residents to use.

This is a short article because of my late arrival yesterday. I can tell everyone that the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Grand Turks, are awesome places to visit. See you next week.

Please pray for our country and the unrest around the world. Most of all pray for our precious troops and their families.
